Description This is a preview of the pic I'll send for the Brazil's Animecon Contest. This version was coloured with Crayola pencils and white ink (rain and water effect). Final version (the one that will be sent to the contest) will be coloured with watercolour and white ink.

Featuring Hakujin, member of Pentagram, the group of Five Elementists, whose members are Hakujin (pic avaiable), Sora, Sakura, Akio (pic avaiable) and Mistunaga (pic avaiable). Hakujin's favourite element is Water. Unfortunately, he is blind since he was born.

Hakujin (c) Eiko Makimachi

PS: Critiques about character pose are welcome. Critiques about colouring are going to be read, but I won't change the colours of his kimono nor the background.

Eh, o coitado do Hakujin teve o azar de ser o personagem mais "ferrado" que eu jΓ‘ criei XD.

Well... yes, but the cat face belongs to my watermark, not to the picture itself . Thanks for commenting.

I agree with Yueishi ^^ You can't critique it....it's so well drawn. You must've had a lot of patience O_O

This is so beautiful! Strangely, I think the ground is my favourite part (beause of the beautiful rain effect) but I also love the kimono and Kakujin's pose. I find it impossible to try to describe what I think his expression means, but it is just so detailed and lifelike. I could look at this for hours

Took me hours to finish the ground XD, I'm glad that you liked it. I love drawing kimono patterns, so Hakujin's kimono is my favourite part.

Wow.....I really like this for some reason. I love all the colors, and the charaxcter kinda looks like like one of my favorite characters from a manga

The rain looks really neat! How'd you do that?

Woa, weird, cuz the only reference I had when I created Hakujin was Mei, the "blind" girl from the Chinese movie House of the Flying Daggers, and Hakujin doesn't look like anyone I know.

As for rain effect, I painted it with white ink.

Shoot! I don't have white ink!..... And I'm not surprised you don't know of any characters that look kinda like Hakujin, that manga I'm referring to isn't well known And I might only be seeing that character in Hakujin because I've been reading it alot lately

You can buy a small bottle of white ink . At least here where I live it's quite cheap.

By the way, which is the mangΓ‘'s name? Maybe I've already heard about it.

The manga's called Et Cetera, and the character was called Alternate. Alternate just popped into my head after seeing this pic because of Hakujin's hair.

Hum... I've seen that name before in a website, but I don't know anything about it .

Yeah well, it's not popular, and one of the reasons is the art isn't exactly the nicest. It looks more cartoony than your average manga or anime, and practically all of the characters have impossibly skinny waists, even the big buff guys. But I like the story, and some of the characters DO have a good design. I draw them in my style of course.....I'm rambling again
