Description Another oldie sketch challenge from 22 July 2010 - Isaiah Bradley from Truth: Red, White & Black by Robert Morales and Kyle Baker. Used bodybuilder Victor Martinez as reference for this. Also thanks to the grungy paper texture by bashcorpo was able to age the colors and try to make it look like a flyer that had survived the end of the war.

Wicked cool! This was one of if not the best character stories that Marvel has done in the last 10 years. I was extremely happy when they made it cannon and added his son and grandson to the 616-Universe.

thanks Danny. I have to agree with you on it being one of the most original stories I had read in a long time and I read it almost as marvel's attempt to cover some of the atrocities governments have heaped upon their own people - all in the name of the greater good.

Exactly. I live in the state of Alabama. Tuskegee is located in the lower part of the state. The medical atrocities that took place there as a part of the "greater good" were no better than what the Nazis were doing to some of the Jews over in Germany. It wasn't until President Clinton was in office that reparations and a formal apology were made to the survivors or the families of those involved. Not to mention that it was under the Clinton administration that the Tuskegee Airmen finally got issued ALL of their military medals and commendations that they earned.
