They look great, and it is so nice they have been with you all this time.

Gorgeous work again! "Yun is based on a basilisk - he stuns people with his eyes, or worse - and Decibel is based on a manticore - his bite is worse than his bark. They aren't immune to each others' abilities. Make of that what you will." THAT is epic groovy!

Now that you've described them as close to a Basilisk and a Manticore, their facial expressions are perfect! Gah!!! When will i get hit with the magic spoon from the art fairy so I can at least learn to draw?! Do you have any idea how many characters of mine I could draw?? Too many, that's for darn sure... ....there's a campsite named Coffee Pot?!

Thanks. Decibel's was so hard to get right. Trying to find the fine line between snarling and smelling something sour is hard.Unfortunately, there is no magic art fairy. It's all just slogging through practice, I'm afraid. In my case, close to a decade of it (at least digitally). There is a campsite named Coffee Pot. There were sheep. I went there on an extended geology field trip a few years ago. Best three days of my life thus far!

Any sort of facial expression automatically seems hard to me! But you have a natural talent for recognizing expressions and translating them to art. I can do that with my stories, at least! I guess I just need to push myself through the 'every piece I draw is going to be pooh-pooh' stage. lol Practice does make perfect. I know. I've been writing since I was 12. But, I still believe you have some inborn predisposition for being skilled at your art! Darn you no magic art fairy!!! You are just as illusive as the 'don't eat anymore sweet's fairy'!! That's it! I want to go to this campsite! Sheep!!!

I think my skill for expressions has come more from my having to learn ways to recognize them in every day conversation beyond just looking and going, "that's a happy face!" I'm actually crap at being able to tell people's emotions in real life. Which means I've had more practice picking out little signs! Which also means I try to make it really obvious if I'm drawing someone reacting a specific way. (And also why Esper reads auras. I couldn't figure out how to properly write emotion for a few chapters so I just... auras. )
