Biography: Garfield Lynns is a former pyrotechnician who use to create a lot of fireworks for any festive events down in Gotham City. One day, he had a big tragedy when he accidentally set the festival on fire which leads to many people burning to their death and losing his job. After getting fired from his job, Garfield decided to run away into Gotham City's severe poverty where he had built himself up with a lot of shame, anger, and self hatred that he wanted to end himself. In that moment, he had finally realized that he was having Pyromania and that he wanted to the watch the entire world burn in order to release all the anxiety and pain he has been suffering through. Garfield began to invent a variety of handmade fire creating weapons from all his knowledge including his signature flamethrower, smoke grenades, and an axe that would act as blade in hand to hand combat. He also created a costume that features a bulletproof bodysuit made out of metal, red eyes, a pair of antenna like speakers, a utility filled with his own weapons, and a harness which includes a jetpack for flight. Garfield would now become known as The Firefly, an saditc arsonist who uses all of his intelligence, skills, and weapons to burn down anything or anyone that gets in his way in order to restart a new life for himself.
