The Hyena Tribe Synopsis:
Located in the upper corner of Arhzung Hyena territory overs the meeting point of all three other Samawati Tribes. This was no mistake. Hyenas are the first defense of the Savannah in case of war. Although somewhat separated from the others, hyena village is a bustling place and you can always find some sort of brawl going on. Don't expect to trespass and not get harassed.
Hyenas live in a pack (Called a Cackle) are often mischievous in nature and tend to gang up, bullying other animals or humans. They laugh a lot, a laugh similar to a real hyenas which is often easily recognized. Their teeth are their strong point, they live off of meat and bones and the like, often stealing food from other animals. Tricking or luring people to let their eyes off of the food, they then snatch it. They can eat pretty much any food. As long as it's meat they aren't picky.

If you would like to join as a hyena and they are your first character; They must be a Hyena (Spotted, Striped, Brown) or a Jackal.

Climate & Geography: Due to the tribes location being in such close proximity to the desert and the mountain the temperature within the village often fluctuates. The days are usually intensely hot but every now and again a wind will come down from the mountain to cool them. Most nights are just as hot as the days but the deserts nights sometimes come over and give the people some relief from the heat. It never snows, and it rarely rains; save the when the rainy season hits the village is completely dry.

Jobs:
The village has a small variety of occupations, Village life is simple for the most part. There are no gender-specific roles and the jobs are not viewed in one way or another.

Patrol, trainer, craftsman, butcher, blacksmith
Are just a few to get you started.

Clothing:
Because of the high temperatures citizens often wear light colored clothing to protect themselves from the sun ( If they are wearing clothing at all that is ) Considered the most savage of all tribes this is displayed by the things they chose to adorn themselves with such as full bones, teeth, claws, and even an occasional skull attached somewhere to their body.

Housing:
Being located near the mountain base Hyenas houses are not only made of hardened sand and stone but also reinforced with the trunks of trees. The resulting houses are fairly sturdy in nature and will keep the cool air in during the day and the warm in at night.
Housing is reminiscent of a combination of old Italian and adobe homes. Every structure within the village follows these guidelines.

Crime:
Within the village crime rate is surprisingly low. Aside from the occasional over the top prank the Hyenas live as a tight knit community despite their rather brutal nature. However outside the village things cannot be the same. Often times it is the Hyena who cause crime rates to rise as trouble is constantly nipping at their heels.

Religion:
It's been some time since the inhabitants have payed much mind to the gods. As such they are spoken of very little if not at all. It is said however that Hyenas have their own godess of old. And that somewhere within the old ruins is a room with a statue larger than life of her.

Customs and Traditions:
The Hyenas all share a common mindset in that fighting is just as much for fun as it is for resolving issues. This makes a ruthless nature but very tight and strong pack bonds.

A day of Reckoning:
A favorite tradition is on a set day of the year. The village becomes swathed in ribbons and flags as well as blood. It's the day that is set aside for naught but fighting, If there is a past dispute that has gone unsettled then this is the day to resolve it. This is often accompanied by feasting and rounds in small fenced off arenas, sometimes prizes are even handed out! Children and adults alike both enjoy a creative game of "hide and fight"

Burials:
The hyenas do not bury their dead. Instead they build a grand pyre and burn the body upon it in great leaping flames. The hyenas do not dwell on death for very long, instead they celebrate the life that was lived as the dear depart from this world in as glorious a spectacle as they had lived.
It is also done because of the feral hyenas that run and live in the village, hyenas being critters that rather enjoy digging up graves.
