Description
When you walk into a little boy's room, you will most likely find toys and action figures scattered across the floor and up on their desks. Many of their action figures are their favorite tv heroes. But what is a boy's true hero? Their fathers. You always hear little boys say something like, "I wanna grow up to be like my dad." Anyway, you get the picture. This is a very young Zuko laying in his bed, awake late at night. There can be a lot of meaning in this picture (for those of you who have seen the show, and if you haven't, well, you know what I would say) but I am not going to say any more. I intended the viewer to decide what is going on. I would love to hear what you think.This actually started as a challenge from myself. I wanted to make a drawing of Zuko young just to see how well I could do it. I also wanted to make it look as if it were a screenshot from the actual show. Don't know if it worked, but hey, I tried.

i think that at that age Zuko admired his Father even though his Dad wanted nothing to do with him. Which is extremely sad. i no how Zuko felt. anywayz it a great picture! *faves*

I don't know, what is on the floor in front of Ozai?
I'm kind of a fan of Zuko's hair being jet black.

suprizingly it isn't jet back, although in a few of the episodes, it looked as if the animators couldn't decide. Reason for his hair being so brown in this one is the scene is suppose to be lit by a candle. Of couse, you cannot see that.
Sorry. And the thing infront of Ozai is an earthbender warrior that has fallen in defeat at the feet of Ozai.

Thanks. And funny enough, I drew this before the Zuko Alone episode (the one with his flash back to the past). And I am serious. Now that they actually have had him younger, I look at mine and I am like, "Holy cow! I got him pretty close!" I am pretty happy about it.

This is a really cool pic. Although I really enjoy the hard-shell shading you did with the covers, I think it gives the elbow a very square look to it... know what I mean? I had a hard time telling what the objects in the foreground were, although with your explanations, I figured it out. Perhaps bringing out a bit more detail will show that they're inanimate. I'm not sure if you could bring out the detail without compromising the simple style of picture though (which I think you should definately keep!). Great job, really. I love the simple style. I think it gives it an exotic, oriental look.

I haven't seen the show but I can see that there's a lot of depth in this picture.. from his expression and the fallen figure in the foreground. Lovely lighting and atmosphere too, very appropriate for the mood of the picture.

well could you draw a picture of Zuko Ozai Azulon and Sozin Looking for the Avatar because remember Iroh said to Zuko at the very Begining of the show that his Father Grand Father and Great grandfather all try to look for the Avatar but failed and I haven't seen anyone draw a picture of Zuko and his Four fathers looking for the Avatar so I was wondering if you could draw apicture it could be like a family generation short of drawing.
I do have other request but since your busy I dont want to put to much preasure on your shoulders.
