This is a great piece of abstract art and it has some of my favorite elements in it, the worn out and rustic look, that mystic like effect to it and the way it just reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. All in all this is amazing.

The color scheme in this is so frosty and peaceful. And yet, I feel very much like Alice in wonderland while looking at this. There is a sense of oddness to it that I find intriguing.

hms, maybe it is only my oppinion but i think you could have pushed this image way further than you did, the whole scene is great but taking closer looks to some of the details made me wonder if it was really you who put that whole scene together, the space and perspective of some elements just does not feel right to me. i always keep finding new details in there which is actually a great thing, i love to discover new things even after having looked at an image for quite some time, but especially that globe ( which has serious perspective issues) and the books it stands on ( which you could have blended in way better btw ;D) made me wonder if you put full effort into it, as well goes the lighting of the scene as a whole, i don't think it is very balanced and therefore some elements have this "cut/copy/paste" feeling your work usually has not...

the foot reminds me of a garden/forest which I visited in my holidays, there was a 1 meter long per side stone cube in the midle of the trees with just an ear in one of its faces. It was quite disturbing.

Alright, this has been sitting on my desktop all afternoon and I'm still totally in love with it. I normally stick to simple florals just because anything too busy makes me want to find something better, but if I can stand more than an hour of it then you know I'll be on my desktop for a long time. This is so weird that it actually fits me, man. I just love how fucked up and random and beautiful it is. I thought it was sloppy at just a glance but after spending some time with it I can see that it's very fine-tuned, kind of like Sex Pistols song. Beautifully done, my friend. Keep 'em coming.
Oh, and on a side note, I'm loving the purple. I got a lot of purple in my last tattoo and I've been obsessed with it since, and this feeds that daily addiction even more.

This is quite an interesting piece of work. Would like to see the final result, once the band's logo and all the other graphical elements are in.
The pink lights were a really good choice as it matches the white scenery perfectly.
I'm also glad you didn't forget those little details like the mirror reflections. Many works I've seen fail in tiny important details like those...
I wonder about the big strong light in the right upper corner. I understand what you wanted to accomplish there but the fact that I don't see the object (supposedly it would be another lamp) that is emitting the light disturbs me a bit because it destroys the whole "light illusion" you've created everywhere in this picture. So there is just a big bright spot with no source unlike all the others. But again, I'm thinking about a piece of work that will have more elements in it later on, I assume...
The street lamp behind the sofa is also diverging from the others as it is the only one that isn't pink.
You've cut all the objects extremely well! Even the round ones like the globe are super! I would probably just improve the right arm of the sofa as it looks a bit too sharp...
Well, this is just me pointing tiny details in a work that is quite excellent already!

Thanks for the detailed critique. Honestly, it's not really what i'm looking for putting my work up here - I'd much rather hear the thoughts and impressions the piece evokes from you than technical points.
The idea is that the fog is self illuminating by the way, it's meant to add to the 'magicality' of the scene. The different coloured lamp is also deliberate.
As I said, your emotions are much more valued than tech pointers.

Like I mentioned (and you noticed) I was giving a deep thought into the technical aspects of an artwork that was not a final product so I was taking a risk there. I was not aware of your preference for comments and so I apologize if I was offensive in any way. That was far from being my intention. Since it was such a perfect work those little details caught my intention. I wrote without really knowing your background and now I find that you actually do every pixel with a purpose and that is phenomenal (and essential).
Once again, sorry for being carried away by the technical side of it. Now that I "know" you better my comments on your work can be more accurate.

you mentioned that all the lights were pink except for that one... that one that isnt pink also doesnt have any snow on it, as well as the one in the background... not like they all HAVE to have snow, but just an observation. thats all.
