You are so kind , gentle , of course I can inspire myself from your great works but I don't believe that you can inspire yourself from my drawings
I am only a dilettante in drawings matter . As a real artist I am musician . I would like to send you some recordings from my concerts .
I play much Bach , Corelli , Beethoven , Mozart and together clavicembalo or pipe organ I play much Baroque music .
But I play also much French romantic music , Spanish , or Russian as Korsakov , and modern like Shostakovich , Some time
I draw some "legend " listening this music , or symphony music , Mahler , Wagner , Brahms .
But you create the music of colors and even dramatic expressions of your characters in your wonderful art .

I agree with Observer14, you seem to fit right in with your ensemble cast.
I too sometimes wonder if and how an artist's perspective of aesthetics is influenced by their own perception of themselves. Are they reflected in the subjects they choose to illustrate -be it conscious or not? And does the art we choose to create shape and form our understanding of ourselves and others?
Looking at your art like this allows me to see that your characters do reflect you in some ways. Well, at least what your photo conveys about you since I guess I don't really know you.

I just think that music and painting are exists for convey that feeling , emotions and thoughts which impossible or very complicate to connvey with the words.
Of course we can put into our works only the things ready to ours grasp. I put all my life and emotional expirience into my works, nonetheless I trying to think as little as possible when I begining to draw.

You are beautiful on so many different levels, Elena, and I am honored to call you a friend and fellow artist. Few artists here have your ability to see into the deep characters of these stories, and to reflect that character in the true way you wonderfully draw and paint each of these. They are both other-worldly, but deeply relatable -- we know these characters because we see ourselves, along with all our strengths and failures, reflected in their faces.

Sincerelly, I had never identify myself with elves, I'm always watced them from the sidelines, (unlike those people who makes cosplay or larping), but lately I'm reflecting upon my Edain identity)) Finally thats interesting to try to became a part of that world that I love to draw!))

Interesting how Tolkien wove those two worlds together. The eternal glory of the Eldar was... well... not so eternal, and in the end, they often ended up destroying themselves from the inside out. It was with the Edain, and their relatively short lives, that ultimately determined the course of history, and the fate of the world. Sometimes it's the idea that we don't have a limitless life span which sparks us to courage, and the will to make a difference. Our fates are not driven by a handful of brilliant gems, but instead are in our own hands....
Live, Elena! Live as a light in the middle of the darkness. Live and bring beauty and understanding to the world around you!

The first time I saw one of yours drawings was on a Facebook'S page a few years ago. Your style has fascinated me right away, and one reason is that it is inherent in a kind of magical atmosphere. Maybe not a fairytale but with something much deeper. I hope, one day, to see the Silmarillion with your illustrations: I find them really relevant and deep and they hit me a lot more than many others pictures of the others authors, definitely beautiful and epic, but not as emotionally engaging as yours.
