Your foliage reminds me of a William Morris paper. So lovely! I wish I could get this level of detail out of paint.

Oh yes! I can see that it is a tapestry now. I didn't notice the animals earlier. This is very beautiful and I probably made the link because of the tapestry work that was done by Morris himself.

Breathtaking! The composition is stunning! Such a contrast of bold and delicate beauty.
The background and the dress are a dramatic complement to your natural beauty and flawless skin. The sleeves are a gorgeous adornment, bringing the eye to rest on your delicate, yet strong hands. And to the black cat! Oh this piece is truly amazing!
This is one of the most interesting self portraits that I've seen on DA, or in any contemporary art collection.
Your talent humbles me.

Another masterpiece! So expressive and delicate! I love it. you have a very rare and classical beauty, perfect for this kind of portrait. I love the way you painted the hands and collarbones here. And those eyes! They are alive!

now I red the other comments ,
yes can arrive also from Durer ,
but I prefer the Italian , romantic , solar ,
where the elegance but not only this ,
the spirit and noble minds , or something from the Pre-Raphaelites
Waterhouse , not much Rossetti , perhaps better Lighton or Alma Tadema
This image is a Symhony ...

Like a queen ... a beautiful occidental queen , ...Renaissance ...
or Juliett... two gentlemen from Renaissance , fencing in rapier duel for her ...
and the black cat... would be Tybalt ... punished because of his arrogance ...

That dress reminds of so much of something you might see in a Bronzino portrait and those hands are fantastic! And kudos on using tempera, the patience of using a medium like that is really impressive.

Thank you very much! This work and the dress for it was inspired by my favorite artists: Holbein, Durer and Cranach the Elder.

The influence is unmistakable, though I'm surprised not to see Botticelli or Bronzino on that list, I can really see their portraits at play here too.
