YW, personally as bad asΒ it sounds I was hoping for slavery of some sort in Skyrim, there was the enslaved Ogers in Oblivion, and you could help them, was hoping for something simular in Skyrim. Ah well, I gota to get a gaming PC and get the Elder Scrolls Anthology and play Morrowind, start kicking Telvani ass.

Heck yeah! Morrowind is still my favorite TES game. I really recommend it. As for Skyrim, it makes sense there was no sort of slavery. Humans in the north aren't a big fan of it after the Falmer oppressors, so It really wouldn't show up anywhere. Not to mention it's illegal at this point in time. Still, a black market would have been pretty cool.

For sure! However I'd wager that khajiit cook at the Thalmor Embacy was a slave, since The Second Aldmeri Dominion kept beastfolk slaves.
Either way a black market would of been really cool, and the option to get i9n on it or destroy it would of been fun, sort of like you two options with the Dark Brotherhood.
Also on that point, I would of apprichiated a chance to join The Dominion, playing as a straight up asshole had few options, it seemed you were still a good guy in The Thieves Guild and The Dark Brotherhood in a way. Bah ah well.

Also, why is she so much smaller than him? Argonians aren't shorter than most other races.

Because I wanted her to be. She is a shrimp. She's also pretty young. not everyone in a species has to be the same height.

I see. That makes sense. She looks strong for her size.

Thanks. I dont RP her as a strong type though. In fact, she's quite week. she is very skilled with magic though. In this pictures case, she is only fighting that close because this man is a special case. She hates his guts, him being her former slave master. So she wanted to get all up in his face, make sure her anger was the last thing he saw. She isn't overpowering him though, she just sort of jumped on him. That's his dagger too, he was so startled, he didn't know how to react, so he looks like he is about to fall over out of fear, not from her strength.

Is she still growing? It also looks like she is either poor and/or prefers to dress lightly. Yes, I saw the other version.

She is poor, and she does prefer to dress lightly, but not that lightly.
el058.deviantart.com/art/Shir-β¦
That link is a picture of what she wears on a daily basis. Its her only set of cloths. she is homeless, and only carries the things that are most important to her, so she has no space for other cloths. or the money to buy them. She wears that not only because it makes her lighter and faster, but also because she likes to show off her tattoos. she is by no means a slutty character, (despite how I sometimes draw her...) In this pictures case, she was captured again, so those are slave rags. There is a nude version too because slaves in Morrowind often didn't wear anything. All of that was in the description if you choose to read it.

I've been thinking about that. In I'll decide once I finish some RPs, but if she does, it wont be anything fancy. Probably a small shack that a friend might have built for her, or she could take up residence in an abandoned mine. She sleeps wherever she wants to already, in many cases, mines, caves, or lakes. So anything can happen really.

I didn't say how. Most of these things are kept in my RP blog or in forums. I pretty much just post art here with a basic description of whats going on. Didn't expect a character analysis. She steals. She is a thief, and used to be a bandit. But she doesn't normally steal gold or personal items. She doesn't have much concept of self worth, so she doesn't feel like she needs things. She steals food, and only takes money when she needs it to hire a horse, or buy food. Or other rare occasions.

Not necessarily D&D. I've tried to adapt it for D&D a long time ago, but it gave mixed results. It's my own setting. Rhiga was born to a singe mother in an oppressive city called Hekaga. She was very poor and although she worked as a dancer when she grew up, she stole to supplement her meager wages.

And they'll wait hundreds of years for just the right moment to do it too. "Whats that? A volcano destroyed most of your homeland? I think we'll take whats left." Not to mention they were the only race to invade oblivion. They are way to bad ass.

Aristodes In reply to EL058 [2014-01-22 23:29:27 +0000 UTC]
Not at all. They would never have succeeded in their invasion of Morrowind if not for the volcano, and even then, the badly-weakened Dunmer still managed to repel them (partly) when house Redoran rallied what was left of their army. As for the Oblivion gates thing, they were warned by the Hist that this would happen and were told exactly how to prepare. None of that undoes the fact that they were conquered by the Imperials and enslaved for centuries by the Dunmer.

EL058 In reply to Aristodes [2014-01-23 03:28:24 +0000 UTC]
None the less, hist or not, they still invaded, and they are now in control of most of Morrowind. anyone can be subject to slavery. The Dunmer slave eachother, Redguards, Bosmer, you name it. Argonians and Khajiits were just the most prominent. But it's what the Argonians did about it that made them that much cooler, even if it took years of waiting for just the right moment. I personally think its far cooler that they invaded after the volcano erupted. Just adds insult to injury, and drives home a point that the Argonians are both patient and ruthless.

Aristodes In reply to EL058 [2014-01-23 03:30:51 +0000 UTC]
Most of their slaves were Argonian and Khajiit, though. Not just the most prominent, the most widespread by far. As for the attack coming after the volcano, that was a cheap shot, especially considering that the Dunmer had already abolished slavery by then.

EL058 In reply to Aristodes [2014-01-23 05:18:56 +0000 UTC]
Prominent means important, or notable. You just repeated what I said. The most important slave trade was that of Argonians and Khajiits. Glad we are on the same page here. and yes, slavery was outlawed shortly before the Oblivion crisis, but the trade continues. Dress didn't just set all the slaves free and stop their age old traditions. Neither did Telvanni. and again, I know it was a cheap shot. Thats why I like it so much. I think honorable, fair fighters are boring. Not like the Dunmer are much better, they don't play fair either. The Argonians have always been guerrilla warfare experts. Hit and run tactics. Nobody ever said they were a fair race. They are very violent, territorial, and tribal. And thats why I like them. I don't get what you are trying to debate though. We are both on the same page when it comes to every subject you just brought up. So if we are in agreement, why debate?

Brilliant, I love her paint! My female oc Argonian was also a slave, but for more hose keeping, her captor had his own little sense of humor and would call her "his little lusty argonian maid" as from the book, this she did resent.
