Oh yes... Really soft~

Today with my flatmate we were playing with her djungarian hamster- it is all fluffy with light shade of gray and we decided that this kanzashi fits him the most!

We have to take some photos- it will be totally cute!

Well we call him two names: Japanese Momiji (means Japanese maple tree) or "Mieczysław"(shortened sometimes to Mieciu) which is old, unfashionable Polish name (the "Mieczy" is from "miecz" meaning sword and "sław" is from sławić meaning glorify so it's a man who glorifies his sword- a perfect name for a knight

Wow! I don't think I'd be able to correctly pronounce the Polish, but in my head it sounds really cool. ^_^ I love the meaning of the name, though! I find the meaning of names fascinating. Thank you for the lesson!

When you say Momiji, it reminds me of a character by the same name in a manga called Fruits Basket (or Furuba, in Japanese). It is a really cute series. Momiji is associated with bunnies! Very fitting connection!

I know Fruit Basket! (though never really gone through all of the anime or manga ) It's such a sweet story

Did I ever told you (or maybe you already know..) where my name comes from (the original roots? )

Oh it gets so good and better. ^_^ It is a long series (not as long as Naruto, but 23 is a lot to invest in!), but well worth it!
