It had been some time already since I tried my hand at rendering a drow... well, here is my latest try

Please, accept my congratulations for this magnificient image. Truly an inspirational and seductive creation, made with great skills and a lot of care to each detail. Excellent body proportions /rarely seen these days/. flawless skin without any tattooes /another great plus/, the pece of cloth look like a piece of cloth not like something integrated in the very body, the eyes are clear, the hair is very well made - each lock is visible and even the reflection light/shadow over the stone is made with such accuracy up to the last pore in the stone.

People commenting don't seem to understand that drow come in so many different flavors (lol)! Not all have to be evil (though I prefer them that way), hehe.
Her expression to me doesn't read "sweet and innocent" to me, not when the style is taken into consideration. I love her sexy little outfit, especially the silver bits. Very nice work, your renders are getting more and more refined and professional looking, it's amazing.

How are you finding using Carrara?

I miss some features from DAZStudio, like the capability of selecting various surfaces at the same time to modify shared parameters or to be able to use the view from the lights to tweak them... but there are lots of other things that are way better, so I guess I will not go back to DAZStudio right now

Cool. I spent a bit of time playing with Carrara a while back and the thing I really liked was the shaders. So much scope. My biggest gripe was the failure of the app to import D|S scenes correctly. If they got that working right then I'd be more inclined to work more with it too.

I don't really know... I have not tried to import that many scenes to tell the truth.
Once I got V4 with all the morphs saved to the Carrara library (which means I can bring out V4 in 10 seconds with all her morphs to a new scene) I have not started DAZStudio again. I do all the posing clothing, and shading inside carrara.

Damn, I had never thought to get V4 in and then save it as a Carrara scene file. I have that setup on D|S for each base model though.
I might have to go back and re-install Carrara and give that a try.
