Description hi, this is a copy of William Bouguereau's Dante et Virgile aux Enfers, that i made during the last open figure drawing workshop over at CGTalk. i made the sketch freehand with pencil on paper, after scanning i used painter-9 for achieving the oil-look. took me about 20-30 hours, but it was a really interesting exercise.

Fantastic...! I'd love to be able to do this with computer colors, but in that medium I'm still starting out... This is an amzing job. Major kudos.

That's a very good rendition, if I do say so myself. o.o One of my favorite romantic paintings. ^ ^

Why did you leave out the genitalia? Boo to censorship. This is an amazing replica though; more artists should copy the works of the old masters, it's one of the best ways to learn, and clearly from your other work you've learned a lot. Nice job.

Wonderful work. Bouguereau is one of my favourite artists, the most under-rated artist of the 19th century.

This is absolutely stunning. The way you've managed to paint the muscles, and simply the way you paint is great. You managed to capture the dynamic expression in both the prominent figures.

I'm so proud that you accomplished making this viewable. It is an incredible display of were your challenges come from and we the viewers can relate. I think you did a stunning replica' and it's construction looks absolutly fabulous. It feels stable and great focal on the oil painting look that you were aiming for. Simply breath taking
