***UPDATE***
So, after Chrom wants you, I have to update this is well of course. It's kinda an old new one, as this was originally the second/first picture I uploaded of him. Yaaa... I had the wall, then I had the battlefield, then I went for the wall again, and now it's battlefield. Finally xD I always felt that this version was stronger for Chrom, and as I have backgrounds in my new Fire Emblem pictures as well I had no reason to keep the wall here. Actually I am going to update all of my old Fire Emblem pictures in the future. I just erased some layer errors I didn't notice during drawing, and here you go ^-^

working process
I guess "wow" will stay as main description of those artworks. Instead of getting better in my time management I have the feeling that its getting worse >.> Sometimes I hate FE for all its details xD Chroms face was a big challenge for me, cause his facial design and attitude changes a lot between awakening and heroes. I think he has a feminine touch to his looks, not as much as marth, but definitely more than the other lords of the series, which is why I tried to make his face rather clean and youthful. If the picture is zoomed out very much he sometimes reminds me of Cate Blanchett xDDD I don't think that's a good thing, but I am very very happy with his face in close up. My realistic vibes also made things only more complicated. That cape makes absolutely no sense xD I don't know what the intended to do, but whatever it is, it won't work in real life xD I have thought for hours how it might work, but in the end I sticked to their impossible design ^-^
What I like most about him is the flow in the image. In my first try he was very stiff, what I didn't like, until I had the idea to get some depth to his legs. Combined with the flowing cape it now looks like he is slowly walking towards the camera, which I like a lot. I think the series is in a very good way, and I am already excited for the next one
