working process
I definetly need to work either on my time management or on my stamina, otherwise I will die by a heart attack soon >.> I always get so stressed at the last days of the month finally finishing those pictures. Truth be told, it was a super stupid decision to draw 2 pairings this month, because timewise it actually made me do 4 pictures instead of my normal two. So, I have only myself to blame ^^ So, now that I am done with wining (as usual, all of my pictures start like that xD) let's come to this awesome picture *-* I am really in love. Since I started adding LoL to my regular series I wanted to draw Miss Fortune in this skin, is it actually was the first skin I bought in LoL like... something like 6 years ago, which is totally nuts xD Back then I thought I would stick to that skin forever, (5$ was actually huge for me xD), which is why I named my account Jessica Rabbit, which was a good idea, since I only wanted to use this character and skin forever. Yup. I guess I don't have to mention that a name change was one of the next things I purchased So, with my desire to draw this skin (the new splash art is totally awesome by the way) the casino idea was pretty cool. I like to play poker a lot, so I thought, why not doing a little poker session (with a lot of dirty thoughts in my mind, not gonna lie |D) so, I only needed a smexy gentleman and here we go ^-^ I could tell you right now that the poker session also had the purpose of not needing to do their weapons, but... let's stick to the other explanation Drawing them was super much fun, but also a lot of pain. For me and my realistic approach the angle was quite challenging. Jayce coat gave me a lot of trouble, because I just couldn't imagine where all of the fabric goes when it's not closed but instead open (yep, those are the horrors of my own evil mind). I got so frustrated that I actually forced my husband to model for me, I put him into a nice suit and let him hold that pose (this is when I figured that my pose is totally uncomfortable, but hey, it looks good on the picture |D) so I could figure out what the fabric does and how the folds and creases work. It actually worked that well, that I forced him into Miss Fortune soon after as well. I probably shouldn't tell this, but chances of him reading this are pretty low, so... yup, I made him wear a blanket wrapped around him to see, how the slit in her dress works >D As a former dancer he has a pretty nice posture, which is absolutely worth of abusing. I actually tried to force him into one of my bra's as well but... well, I guess there are some steps that go a little bit to far @_@ So, coming to her dress, which was one of the worst hells I have ever faced. Why did my evil mind have to tell me, that it's a full sequin gown? Why? I could have been done with some glitter effects but no... why not taking a whole day creating a random sequin brush to make this dress as realistic as possible. Good outcome, horrible idea ._. And why why why does she need this additional embroidery on top xD at least I had the brush when I was forced to do this ^^ My favorite part of the picture by the way is the lining of her dress falling from the table. I love the subtle sparkling pattern, it's just so beautiful. I hope you will like this picture as much as I do, next on my to do list is a pretty awesome fire emblem commission, which will be very different from the pictures I have drawn so far, so I'm very excited for that. See you soon. Or probably not, as I will have to lock myself to photoshop for the next 3 weeks xD
