This took me 6 freakin' hours to draw and I used around 60 layers!
I know it looks a bit crappy on the BG 
I couldn't make it better D: But this is the best pic I drew so far! I'm so happy! It's my scalesona Notansei, her full body and I made somethings wrong -3-" I created her last friday so XD;
Aaaand the fail hand. Yea, I really dunno how to draw anthros too good XD but this one is probably one of my best 8'D
This pic was made completely on Paint Tool SAI, the program I love and shall (probably) always draw on ... and of course my Genius tablet c:
-- I finally learned how to do keyboard smileys XD (these kinds: ♥, ☻, ☺, etc.). And I also want to know how to get pressure sensitivity working >:c searched on lot of websites but it didn't work :/ nyawell XD;
-- I've got a lineart of this, if you'd want to color I can submit the lineart on. c:

Nah, she's not flirting with anyone XD; and I did try to do the clothes. But I failed so I decided not to give her clothes. It's not mature content also ;3 I don't like drawing those kinds of things, če ti to želiš lhka, js pa nebom ker smo še mal premejhne za take svari risat, really... xD; and I think she's long enough. Making her longer would make her a little too long, I tried that too c;

I liked your idea, and your hard work but when I saw " 60 layers " I was like, wtf? I'm going to tell you some sutff for your improvement, 'cuz that's what critiques are for xD ;; SO First you really should use some references to pratice, and then when you are better at it you can do without them ~ Otherwise you will always draw the same mistakes. THE SHADING, it's a hard thing to control. I don't know where the light is coming from and and the shading is random, you spoted in the places you tought it would look better, for example: I don't know if the right wing is behind her or just extended to the right, for me it looks both, and I think that's a bit impossible xD
Here's a tip, with the colour of the light in the background, foran example, a sunset shade your character with a light orange or red colour ( the colour you want in the sunset ) and then make it darker in the dakr spots, you have to pay attention to the light. Same thing in the light shading, remember: sometimes you don't even to do it! ( rare cases ) ;;
For me the scales look weired... I think they would look better a bit blured or tranparent, remember: never make them black or white, make them with a lighter or darker colour of the skin. Also make it under the shading layer, it will look very nice. ^^

So about the layers - I know right, I used 60 layers because I like drawing things on different layers. Example, the eye. I color the base, white color on one layer. Then I use the next layer for the iris. Again, I create another layer for the pupil, and again another layer for the shine (and one for shading too xD). It makes the whole thing come out better with different layers, at least that's how I think.
Ah yes, the shading. I'm not too good at it, I have to admit.
And the scales, the possible hardest thing in the whole picture besides the lineart and BG. I used the darker color than the skin tone, not a black one. I never use black with scales, just a white with the shine. And I also did lower the opacity for the scales, both with shine.
The BG. I actually did put effort into it, I did give a damn. But I'm not good at making them at all. I'm practising tough, thinking of ideas. I'm very bad when it comes to 'what should the BG be'. Or even for the pose! I'm really not good at it. There's so many things I have to improve in Dx
