Object: yeah, maybe the first time when I do a critique for headshot. What could I tell about it? You have worked well on depth and such, enough of fur and enough of objects, nothing is being skept. As well as an invisible body of this beast is being cut away in correct way.
W/O background: I would say it is a pretty hard thing to completely remove the background around the object. But here you have done a good job as well - headshot of this animal is floating consistently in a "void".
Effects: I would say that even though they are in a small amount, it is more than enough for me to see how consistent they are in case of this artwork. And yes - it is related to color scheme changing over the different parts of headshot itself and light&shadow effects.
