Description BIG FILE IS BIG. BUT I THINK YOU FIGURED THAT OUT WHEN YOUR COMPUTER CRASHED.

Hi, deviantArt, did you miss meeee? Probably not, but we'll discuss that later. I seriously need to get back to all the nice comments you guys left on my journal! Thank you, thank you! Ahem. Anyway.

I suppose the first thing I should address is why this silly not-really-a-comic happened. WELL. Most of you are probably familiar with the Disney/Star Wars crossover merchandise: [link]

And in that case you should also be familiar with two very big problems. One is the casting. Mickey as Luke and Minnie as Leia hello um incest gross no ew we are a family company thank you. GET IT RIGHT, U GUIZ. The second issue is, well, a bigger problem for me. Check this out: [link]

You're regretting your decision to click on that link, aren't you? Because, come on, SRSLY? That is one unattractive statue. I'm not saying I've been waiting my whole life to see Minnie enslaved and thrown in an awkward bikini, but what I am saying is that if you are going to do something, you should do it right. Oh, and the other attempts at the concept are no better. See one of you was smart enough to give her a waist: [link]

But I'd like to take this time to remind the folks at home that mice the size of human peoples are often creepy and alarming, even the talking kind. Please do not do it, think of the children. This example fares no better: [link] While they get her height right, they make the same mistake as all the others. Minnie with hair. Pfffffft. Brown hair no less.

It ain't hard to make Minnie attractive without so blatantly breaking the rules. This fandom has totally proved it. I've even been considering making a tutorial about it because I'm a loser. So why is it these people are making the big bucks again? They're the same people who throw her in giant poofy sleeves and a giant hairbow so why am I even asking?

So there you have the initial spark. I said to myself, I says, I'm going to rectify these problems by drawing a batch of Han Solo!Mickey and Slave Leia!Minnie fluff and it is going to be beautiful and grand. Unfortunately lately though, whenever I get an idea, for some reason I feel the need to fill up pages in my sketchbook with it, and that's what happened here. First I started drawing random scenes and kissing and it was more serious and romantic, and then when I noticed there was a kind of narrative going on I started to add more and more panels in some attempt to make it flow a little better. Ha, I should have kept adding, but I got pretty exhausted. So you get this big collage thing that will make no sense unless you've seen the movie recently.

Of course, I was too lazy to pop in my DVD to make sure I was getting anything correct, because I pretty much decided to take artistic liberties and be a horrible person anyway. Hey, if Disney really adapted the story with mice, you know they'd be changin' that all up.

So anyway as I was adding more and more, I began to draw faster and faster. I was also drawing completely out of order, so some of these drawings are all refined and thought out and then a good number are chickenscratch that I did super quick, haaa. Structure? HAW. You'll also notice that the tone is all over the place because once I decided to put Donald in all hell broke loose and I couldn't keep myself from putting gags in everywhere.

Some more things you will notice, because I haven't talked enough:
~ Mortimer is wearing Boba Fett's armor. There pretty much isn't a Mickey Mouse villain cool enough to BE Boba Fett (the Phantom Blot is Darth Vader in my mind with Shyster as the Emperor, obvs), so we will say that Mortimer picked up the armor at a pawn shop.
~ Minnie has spit curls even though I was just complaining about drawing her with hair. Spit curls be canon, though, you best be watching some "Cactus Kid," my love.
~ Goofy is missing because I simply couldn't decide who he would be in this. Probably Chewbaca, but I was not cool enough to make it so. I'm sorry, Goofyyyyy.
~ In my mind Gyro Gearloose is C3PO and Helper is R2D2. In this comic they are invisible, but they are most certainly present.
~ Someone chucks a lightsaber at Donald's head but I didn't show who. A wizard did it.
~ Mickey obtains a jet pack in a matter of seconds but I didn't show how. A wizard also did it.
~ Minnie somehow escapes from Pete, tears her chain asunder, and beats the living snot out of him. A wizard also did that.
~ Mickey recovers from his blindness awfully fast. A wizard certainly did it.
~ Someone is driving the Millenium Falcon that picks our heroes up. Do you know who? That's right. Samuel L. Jackson.

Closing Statements Oh God When Will She Stop: I'm sorry I didn't take the time to make this look pretty with shading and cleaner drawings. I wanted to but, feh, I didn't mean to spend so much time on this in the first place. I would like to color some of those fluffy Minnie and Mickey pictures though, so perhaps you can expect that. But I am a terrible promise keeper, we know this by now.

Thanks for lookin' and readin' and bein' so swell, y'all!

~~~
Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pete, Mortimer, Scrooge, and all items related belong to Disney.
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and all things to do with it belong to that guy who gave us Howard the Duck.
This comic was drawn by Elera, zat is me. Please to be crediting me if you gank it (but why would you, that is the mystery, oui)~
Oh wow, I needed this like you have no idea! I've been in the WDW parks at Star Wars Weekends enough to be VERY familiar with the Disney-SW characters and I always thought it was weird that Donald and Mickey were cast the way they were. (Though it gives us an excuse to see Mickey in a Rebel flight suit.) I LOVE this comic. It makes me laugh and squee like a little schoolgirl. Especially Mickey watching Pete and Minnie and being all "I'm gonna rip his face off!" then promptly being all action-hero-y and beating the daylights out of Mortimer. ^_^
At first, I didn't notice what was wrong with the second Slave Leia pic you linked, but as you stare at it, it kinda morphs into this awkward, horrorific Thing in frount of your eyes...
god, her waist was half the size of her head...Maybe a third...
I'm a Donald nut myself, so seeing him with a lightsaber in any context makes me fangasm.
Also, you draw vastly more appealing and fun than anyone working at Disney these days.
This is pretty darn awesome. I could never figure out the casting error either...and I think they figured it out, about how it was very wrong, because there is a strange lack of Han Solo in the Disney character form of Star Wars merchandise (involving Star Wars weekends)...but they seem to make sure to make Han one of the biggest characters on every Star Wars weekend poster? It's kinda confusing.
Eitherway, I like your way so much better, and thank god for the wizard.
Wow! This was awesome! You blended the two universes seamlessly! LOL! Yeah, you made Mickey and Minnie able to be together! I think DIsney made Mickey Luke because 1) Han Solo fits Donald's personality better with both of them being more rebels, tough guys 2) Disney ALWAYS makes Mickey the hero/main character! Sad truth...But I really like how though you switched their roles, you still kept them in character! Mickey can pretty badass when he needs to be but Donald is ALWAYS badass! And I love how he tells Mickey to shut up and let him rescue him and Mickey blushes and says he didn't need saving! LOL! My inner yaoi is showing! Too bad Mickey has the hots for Minnie! BTW, I always thought Han Solo's reply to "I love you" being "I know" was a REALLY douche thing to say!
Thank yooouu! Yeah, I understand Disney's reasons for making Mickey Luke, I was just poking fun. I figure the switch in my casting wasn't too out there. After all, Luke is just as unfortunate as Donald is. ;D LOL, I was wondering if anyone would get any yaoi vibes from that! Ha, and I think the "I know" line is supposed to be douchey, so I really love it. Allegedly originally he was supposed to say "I love you too" but Harrison Ford thought "I know" would be more in character.
Well, OK, first off apologies for all my late comments; I was on Vacation this week 'n' only got back yesterday, so I've been offline the whole time.
Second, this pic wins not only for being a hilarious Disney/Star Wars cross-over (I really appreciate the Disney-esque changes you made to the plot, i.e. Pete beaten up instead of dead, Donald tickling the Rancor into submission, etc. etc.; rule #1 of crossovers like this is to remember the ideals and aesthetics of the dominant story into account, and you do that here very nicely) but for having one of the funnest Artist's Comments I've ever read.
Seriously. It's insightful, it's humorous, it's well-written...just made me smile all over.
(also YES please do that Minnie tutorial because the world needs moar Minnie art like the kind you do <3)
This was absolutely brilliant. Star Wars isn't my favorite by any means, but this is just... GAH! TEH CUTENESS OF IT ALL. XD
I don't have a better comment, sorry. *lol* Although my favorite doodle has to be the one where Minnie has beaten Pete to a pulp. (Oh, and anything that involved Donald is pretty much made of gold.) Now THAT'S what should have happened in some of the old cartoons. But then, I can't help but be a little sorry for Pete... I love his character a bit too much, I think.
Also, I don't blame you for loving Pete's character, Jim Cummings and all his other voice actors do such wonders with him. Not to mention the funny writing. x3
Thank you~!
