I know you're probably asking "are these even twipie nextgens?" and yes I know they seem a little different from your average twipie nextgen but there is an explanation I swear!!

so uh.. these are the boys lmaoo. I drew them both as adults and as colts because they're still little kids in my verse but I prefer drawing adults lol. these two are fraternal twins (as most of my twins are). I've always headcanoned that twins are just really common in equestria, so it made sense to me that I'd have another pair in my au. and speaking of headcanons..

when twilight and pinkie had their first child, cyclone surprise, they thought it was a little weird that her coat was a light, desaturated blue instead of saturated pink or purple like their own coats, but just chalked it up to genetic weirdness that can happen to any child from any parents. years later when pinkie gave birth to two little colts and they looked like.. well, like that, they suspected that something was up. a meetup with pinkie's mother, cloudy quartz, shed some light on what was going on. the pie family was a little weird in terms of genetics. while most ponies in the pie family have light, desaturated coat and mane colors, occasionally a brightly-colored foal would be born (pinkie, of course, was that foal in her family). it's very common for the children of those brightly-colored foals to have coats closer in color to their grandparents than their actual parents.

so yeah, these two get coat colors from cloudy and igneous -- though their mane & tail colors are still from pinkie and twi!

EDIT:: I fixed up the colors to be a little closer to what I imagined for them-- and also sunflower is a mare now!! I always imagined her as one but bc I had so many female characters I made her a stallion.. but now I've just kinda stopped caring so she gets to be a mare like I originally intended. still used the struck out headcanon above when picking new colors this time

aLSO just as a quick note-- I'm gonna push out an update to the guide with any new names/genders/etc. in a sec and hopefully get to putting these two on the guide along with their info!!
