Description "Atmospheric Leviathan Fishing for Stillness" by Cody Seekins (www.codyart.tk) Oil on Canvas, 24" x 48", SOLD!

Based loosely upon Osho's writings about being centered while simultaneously involved with the dynamics of life materially, emotionally, and physically. Aggregated on top of that theme is a series of contextual morphologies from the period during which the painting was made. This work is also an intermediate process between the last transmigration oil painting, and one coming up which will be by far up and beyond anything i've yet done insofar as development, and a fuller integral of all past explorations in the art.

That's a lot to think about... I can't really give you much feedback on the concepts but as for the actual painting, it's absoluterly marvellous. I tohught it was a piece of digital art or photography or something, you've done amazingly (with oils?) to get such a sharp image with paints.

Very interesting piece, with many different shapes and forms to study. They look both machine-like, and organic in form. Beautiful.

Thanks for the look. The next two paintings are upcoming, tho slow as they're intensely involved, and i truly hope they will do well to inspire! I'll keep you and everyone in mind to help battery charge the process!!

This is absolutely stunning. The message content goes so much deeper than the visual content. But, the visual content is intrigueing and fascinating. i admire your art so much. You put much thought into your work and it is evident. This is beautiful and serene.

i'm really glad this is coming through, this piece in particular veers much more toward symbolism and relations between objects than do a lot of the other works, so it was a bit of a virgin territory.

it goes on either in my head or somewhere in my being that relates at some point through psychic associations--in this case there was a large amount of spontanaeity with some pre-emption...the feeling, tho, i think came through well in translation on this one.

You did this in oils? How long did it take?

And I'm a bit confused about the concept as well. Your Artist's Comments was something that my English teacher would enjoy immensely.

Otherwise, great work - espicially the colors.

yea my paintings are all done in oils, this one took quite a few hours, hard to estimate but i'd say probably 50 hours with all the layers and small nuances over time...

Thanks for the comment!

'small nuances over time' Hah. I've had such a problem with those. "Hey, where did that green spot come from," and it turns out that some green got transposed from my pallet to sleeve to painting .

One more question: Did you take a picture of it? Oil paintings look so bad on the computer after that - so much grain and other things. But yours looks good .
