Thanks for the comment; i checked out your profile, and was happily surprised that you were aware of Roberto Matta, as he was so prolific, so powerful, and yet often i feel so underappreciated despite his decades of work.....i felt concurrence with a lot of what you valued, i.e. waking life and more...

you're very much welcome. allow me to clarify a bit on the earlier comment. I guess I'm not really sure about the significance of your symbolism, but the composition suggests a sort of release or exclamation; an emergence perhaps. the vertical formation does much to provide stability as well. these elements are interesting on their own, but the obvious amount of effort you put into this work makes it extremely gratifying to examine.
you've done some amazing work here. I think you deserve something besides a generic "me likey" comment.

about the 'release' you felt...i dwell, found, at long last, in your sensitivities...thank you lol....because actually at one point i released so hard with the brush, that, to get that perfect stroke, i had no choice but to puncture the canvas....lower left corner...line moves vertically....

It took some time, yes. Actually, if you include the painting undernieth, which this one was built from...the painting took nearly 4 years to complete, though the highest concentration took place just this past three months. There are some intense video documentation of the end process of this work...if i can get the raw footage i'll try'n post here sometime this summer.

I noticed your work, feels very positive and i like that--impressive considering your age, definitely keep it up!
