This picture was more an exploration of colored pencil techniques than the subject matter. It turned out to be a rather strange image. It is supposed to be some sort of fairy/ angel who is underwater, and I have no idea why. That's pretty odd, isn't it?Related content

Cool pose! I love the way her hair is going everywhere. Great job with the pencils, I especially like the way the light beams in the water continues onto her hair and lights it in waves. Awesome touch.

This looks so beautiful. The colors are wonderfully soothing and really work great for an underwater creature, especially an angel (very interesting concept, by the way). Her pose is also gorgeous - It looks so intense and passionate, and it's so flowing which also looks awesome with an underwater theme.

Good lord, this entire thing is just incredible. I use colored pencils a lot myself, but I'm hooked on black outlines. I'm amazed at how you got this so smooth and with no outlines.
Not to mention, the shading is extraordinary, and the anatomy. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this at all! I could stare at it for HOURS and not get bored.

I think this is a wonderful picture, and I'm amazed you managed to get so many wonderful tones of light and colour from pencils, especially in the rays of light and on the skirt - it's simply beautiful and must've taken a lot of effort. And you've amanged to get the watery effect perfectly, which is great because that's really hard to pull off. Only crit I would make is on the face/chin - the hairline needs to come in a bit more near her neck. But I'm no expert so what do I know? Elegant, graceful and soft - this is really special and I'd be crazy not to

Oh my! this is beautiful! There's so much movement. The hair is gorgeous, and I love how you did the sunlight on the sand. I don't think it's strange at all. It's a gorgeous union between land, water and air.

I really like the skirt most of all, a very good idea how objects and things move/work through water.
