Beautiful shot. I admit the water has a painted look to it too, that there's a sense of realism merging with another world. Adds to this piece I think.

I like how old this area looks too! The fungi gives nice character to the rocks, and I like the trees bordering in the distance.

I appreciate the comment. The more I look at it myself the more I grow attached. This one will probably be my next to frame. Glad you like it.

It may just be me, but the flowing water at the bottom doesn't look real. It looks painted. It gives the whole photo a kind of...fantasy-esque look, as it seems to shift from real in the background to imagined in the foreground o.o

Thanks! I think the reasoning behind that is because of the shutter speed. When the shutter speed it set for a little longer than instant and you snap the shot it catches all the motion of the water during that period the lens is open and puts it into one picture. That's kinda how you get the painting feel. I had never really thought about it this way, but you're right! Thanks for the comment!

Very nice,

It probably would have been even better if the shutter would have been open like 1 sec or even longer, the picture otherwise already has this romantic look to it.

Sadly, I'm not all that great at working the shutter speed. I can adjust the amount of light let in and the iso, but changing the lighting messes with the photo too much and adjusting the iso helps, but doesn't give me specific control of the shutter speed.
