Another lovely piece! n_n
To start of, I like the way you did this. The shadow effect in the background and across the character's face looks almost like an evil aura, matching the way you made this character appear (he looks evil, and since I don't really know about him, I'm just going off of appearances). The color palate for the background chosen really complements the character's palate, especially highlighting the skin and the eyes. Overall, it's put together very well, and the attention to detail (especially with the blade and mask) is fantastic! Furthermore, if this guy is cocky and intimidating, you pulled it off VERY well with that expression; it's almost as if he's challenging anyone that meets his gaze to a fight he knows he'll win, one way or the other.
Now, I wasn't quite fond of the way the colors just... sit there. Normally, the way you color makes the colors come to life, even in your darker pieces (like that beauty of an SNK piece you did). Here, I feel they're... flat. Perhaps giving the red in this eyes a more vibrant hue to make them more menacing, or a sharper glint on the blade would help.
I've just come to know you as a very vibrant artist, and this piece is still fantastic! But I just wanted to throw this out there. (Yeah, a critique coming from the one that can't draw... pft! XD ) Keep up the fantastic work! n_n

the darkness, it just make this look so intimidating and dark. is this an original concept or from a show or a book or something like that. wither way this is dark, in a good way. the expression with his weapons looks like he looking cool or just so happy to kill you. the background creates a very dark mood which make this character look so intimidating.
Basically this look cool and amazing because of how the mood is so dark and the very tough looking character.
also what is the characters name, the description said zed and I wonder if that's right.
