Huzzah! Finished the chaps! So now you get inflicted with Blue Steel. Goddess, my hair looks relatively sane here. :SThese were more of a trial for my other costume I'm doing (alliance combat fatigues/prologue uniform). Some things worked, others didn't. Emo jeans are Emo so I think I'd wear my other proper pants if I went out in this properly. And I'm annoyed I've lost my muscle tone from tennis or else I'd look more like the Vanguard I feel on the inside, rather than the skinny salarian infiltrator I appear to be. Sigh. Time to go Charge some Brutes to make me feel better.

No problem! Let me know if you need any help with anything. I do suggest using an elastic for the straps just above the knees as the material I used for these didn't have any give and I had problems sitting down lol. Or perhaps a material for the chaps that has plenty of stretch in it. But I went with something durable and military looking, I think it was drill cotton. Hope that helps!

Thanks! And good spotting. Im a 2/4. (larger chest and long arms lean to a 4) so id go same as me, a small. I think if you went bigger, it might be a bit too baggy.

This is perfect~! I was planning on doing some kind of ME cosplay for next summer up here at Anime North, and I've been watching the Bioware store ridiculously to see when they'd get the hoodies back in stock! But I thought about it and this would be the easiest cosplay to make (especially when your little brother has a ton of nerf guns to customise, and you indoctrinate him into the series as well, hehe).

De nada n.n I see no point in holding onto the pattern. It's not that technically advanced, just some minor fitting to your own body and you're all good. Cant wait to see yours! And, I must admit, I'm jealous for the nerf supply! I think that may be my next project. Give Shep a gun.

Oh yeah; I went about my house yesterday, and found said pants, boots, and riding half-chaps to make said boots look taller. I did sstick my N7 patch to a black jacket for the time being and even went so far as reusing a red wig from an old halloween costume.
True, but it gives a general idea. I can't sew to save my life besides stitching in patterns by hand. But my gran can.
and yeah, his room and closet have literally become nerf gun armouries to the point that I needed to compensate and buy one of my own. I mean, I've seen the Maverick revolver being used for Shepard cosplays a lot, though I think having my rifle would be pretty cool.
I'm tempted to make my own N7 hoodie with some red and white fabric/felt for the time being considering the Bioware store is almost alwayss out of stock for a hoodie in my size, both in the men's and women's versions. >_>

Red and white fabric paint may be better, you wont get bunching that way. Or at least that's what they've done on mine.

Turns out, a) Bioware was in stock, and b) my grandma took out her credit card and paid for it for my Christmas present. PROBLEM. SOLVED. <3

I wrapped myself up in a piece of newspaper and, with the refs on the computer screen in front of me, I drew the outline in vivid. Highly technical I know.

All you need is an oven, thin eva foam, a polystyrene ball cut in half and nailed/stuck to a board to get teh boobs and a knife. And glue. Strong glue. Easy! But I muist admit, this was perhaps the easiest costume ever.
