Cross-hatching is not too tough! It's not so much crossed lines than it is just random patches of lines going in every direction. The darker the shading, the more lines in whichever direction there are. I admit that my crosshatching is VERY messy but just loosen up those wrists and sketch away

he is the best, but I really only got into tom seriously about 2 years ago, when someone dumped an mp3 collection on me, against my will and at gunpoint, of course. He is brilliant and I am not allowed to play him anywhere near my girlfreind of 11 years, because she hates his voice. heh

I love the shading! The pencil strokes go in so many directions, it's a really lively style and makes the drawing more interesting.

Anyway. I love your style, built up of lines and hatches. And it's not easy to draw like that, either, or at least it isn't for me, so more kudos for you. The shades look a bit off, as you said, but they're alright. So nice work.

Na dude. The first thing i was gonna say is i dig the shades... the way the bright white stands out as a reflection against the black. But the left lens need some sort of highlight while the right lens seems to have a strange shape.
Other than that.. its fantastic. Great shadows, proportion and hair.
