I've been quiet about this character ever since his first concept sometime back around June 2019.
Ever since I played A Hat in Time, I fell in love with it and decided to make an OC based off the game.

There's nothing much about him other than his existence as both a fan character and an original character but I did write enough about what he is and who he is.

Character Info as of 2019:

Name: Wesley Kyd (West Kid in the AHiT AUs)
Origin: BetterSweet - a town known for its vast sugarcane fields and products (West Side of Dead Bird Studios in the AHiT AUs)
Purpose/Goal: Liberate kids from child slavery, defeat his arch enemy and restore his town (AHiT AU: Prevent his arch enemy from expanding his reign in the AHiT world and return back to his own world)

Equipment:
>Slingshot - for ranged attacks
>Whip - multi-tool from close-medium ranged combat to swinging around to even grabbing small objects
>Dynamite - for obvious purposes of clearing out breakable obstacles and explosive attacks
>Flare sticks - the green ones work on dweller platforms
>"Sugar Rush" - a very dense lollipop, upon consumption, time doesn't slow down but his movements and senses will become very quick and responsive for a short while
>The "MULE" - a hybrid between a kick and motorized scooter made durable out of wood, lightweight and agile, it can also be used for combat

Other abilities:
>Will dropkick you
>Deadeye
>Detective skills

Known habits/traits:
>A total sweet tooth
>He keeps lollipops under his hat
>Stubborn and rebellious in nature
>Mischievous and will tease or pull a prank when the opportunity comes

>Wesley was once a slave under child labor working under a huge sugar distribution company known as Kandy Co.
>He escaped Kandy Co. and found himself in a town called BetterSweet
>He was taken in as an orphan but would cause sugar-fueled mischief in town, we has rendered unadoptable and often disliked by townfolk
>The town's sheriff took Wesley under his wing and successfully reforms his behaviour after acknowledging his talents and understanding his feelings.
>Years later, his town gets seiged by an army of robots sent by a man called the Kandyman after a failed negotiation in purchasing a portion of the town's sweet lands.
>His sheriff dad dies on duty trying to hold off the horde while Wesley and other civilians flee for safety
>Wesley was outcasted by the townsfolk after the attack and Kandyman took over the town as their "saviour"
>He now travels to liberate kids and make allies to end Kandyman's reign

A Hat In Time AU Prologue Lore:
>Sometime in the events of BitterSweet, Wesley confronts the Kandyman in a train holding a large cargo of sugar
>The train was redirected when Wesley knocked out one of Kandyman's goons out of the train during a fight and hitting a railroad switch
>The train is now headed to an unused train tunnel
>Meanwhile in the AHiT universe, the same story still follows with the canon as Hat Kid was sucked out of her ship along with her time pieces
>The time pieces that crashed on the West Side of Dead Bird Studio had created a strong enough of an anomaly that it opened up a portal to another time, another universe, another world
>A bright light welcomed Wesley and the Candyman when their train entered the tunnel
>One day the Conductor was filming one of his movies until his train was stopped due to a wreckage up ahead
>He and the Owl Express crew finds another train, derailed and wrecked, and a kid lying unconcious near the wreck
>The Conductor can not only save a lot of pons on train maintenance with the spare parts they could salvage from the wreck, but he now has an exclusive star to his future films, if the kid is still alive that is
