I always pictured the Hound more doglike in my mind but knowing old Bradbury--heavens. You should send this to him. It's fantastic, far and away the best rendition of the Hound I've ever seen.

and that is EXACTLY the point! I read the book, saw the movie, thought both were cheesey and distrubing, expected to see the hound...saw NOTHING! But this is an awesome pic of what we all should have saw, great job! ^.^

Cool! It really illustrates well what the book had described, most people don't add the 8 legs and they turn out to look more like toy *robo-pups*. But yours is true to its design. The only thing I noticed that was different from how the book described it was the eyes, in the book the Hound had green eyes, But this is the best Mechanical Hound I've seen any one do.

When I read the name, I thought, "Huh, cool." So I clicked on it. Then I saw the picture and thought, "OMG! Fahrenheit 451!!!!" Then I read your comment. ^_^
That means you did a really good job on it, if I knew what it was right away. That's one of my favorite books, by the way. Now I'm reading the Illustraded Man, by the same author.

This crossing between a spider and a dog looks really good! I looks quite menacing. I haven't read that story, is the mechanical hound supposed to be huge? Because in your picture it does. Great!
