Thank you! I had quite a time settling for the first card, because the Fool really opens the deck. When I finally hit on this combination, I really thought I could pull it off, and JKR's story had the mythological richness to carry a traditional deck.

I love your cards and will likely fave most of them. I won't comment on all of them though... my fingers will get tired typing your praises! Just rest assured that I think your art is fabulous.

LOL! I understand. I am very happy you like the deck. I actually work with the cards on a fairly regular basis and am still surprised at how well they seem to work...

Thank you! It was fun translating the traditional images and symbols into something fitting the Potterverse..

The thing with the fool card is I always say Oh The Fool (O the fool). It's kinda a habit. Well Drawn tho. You should sell the deck, I would buy it!

Its lovely but I wouldn't have thought him a fool, a giddy kid yes, maybe Peter Pettigrew for the fool?
π: 0 β©: 1
Ellygator In reply to Chaobaby7 [2008-06-29 09:50:24 +0000 UTC]
Well I've always seen the Fool as the wide-eyed innocent kid who can't tell danger from safety because of lack of experience and so much curiosity and enthusiasm. I never viewed the Fool as someone who makes foolish decisions by choice. I think Peter would have given the card a very negative spin. But there's where the interpretation of the cards becomes very personal. Different meanings for everyone...

It's incredible how you captured all of Colin's innocence in one pose....it's like I'm watching a black and white still of a deleted scene.

Thanks so much. I had a great time with this card - little Colin all fresh-faced and happy, and the big old evil basilisk behind him...
