Description (2006) 2" x 2 3/4"

Art glass bead (black, turquoise, lilac, ivory and clear Moretti glass, 999 silver leaf)

This is a close-up macro shot of the focal bead for "Opal River" that I've actually loaded up on my desktop. I think it gives a good idea of what the colors and textures of this lampwork piece actually look like. In my opinion it's the best art glass bead I've made so far...

I went and postworked the background painting it in black to foreground the bead.

You're welcome please tell me what you think about the story, once you've seen it! I'm curious

I haven't treated myself to watching the movie yet, but looked at images and summaries and it sounds like a very cool story that I'll try and watch some time. The bug's design definitely has a feel of the bumpy blisters on the glass bead - it's a cool effect in the manga drawings.

Thank you! It is amazing how the silver foil creates effects with the ivory glass. I always end up surprising myself.

I'm in love with your jewelry. I've seen many pieces at the art store where I used to work, and they're nothing like this or any of the bracelets you've made. Each has its own personality and emotion and this one tops it. It's so beautiful! I'd ask to buy it if I had any money!

Danke!

I am in love with this bead! If only it were 3" diameter, and flat, i'd wear it as a pendent all day long! Stunning!

So schlimm?
