(2017), 9"x4", Size 15 seed beads and size 11 seed beads worked in Ndebele stitch, closure beads, focal glass art bead, fireline.This bracelet had an interesting focal bead - a body of ivory glass with a beautiful Impressionist pattern of russets, blues, teals and purples - and then everything was dipped in etching fluid for a satin finish rather than glassy gloss. It made me go for a mix of shiny and matte beads that picked up on the bead colors but also tried to exaggerate them. The purples got toned down to matte slate and dark blue, the russet got elevated to silver-lined orange, the ivory got up-scaled to gold-lined white opal. I really love how this one turned out...
