(2015), 9"x4", Size 15 seed beads and size 11 seed beads worked in Ndebele stitch, closure beads, focal glass art beads, fireline.I loved this particular focal bead because of its amazing opalescent and elegant color scheme and wanted to do something spectacular with it. My friends gave me a special edition 18 year old Talisker Scotch whiskey for my birthday and the gold and deep blues of the box it was packaged in just provided the right inspiration. I think this may be my favorite ruffle bracelet to date...

It's one of my favorites still. I'm glad I used some actual metallic bronze beads for this one. Normally I stay away from metallics for my ripple bracelets, but perhaps that was a mistake...

well metallics can be difficult. gotta get the cood beads. galvanised is only even pretty for a short time and not worth spending the time on. actual metals are pretty but darn expensive... theres a lot to consider LOL

Hmmm, I like that, a nice little liquor themed series! Could be fun, since I have one finished that could easily stand in for Pernod! For absinthe I have to pick over my little magpie chest and see if I have one of beatlebaby's greens left!

Yeah, I used to use a beading loom for bracelets and kinda fell out of it, so one of these days I'll have to play around with it again. The one project I'm thinking of using beads is egyptian crown, necklace and belt. It's a bit of a daunting idea, but I can use the costume accessories I got from Spirit Halloween as a template or make my own.

I have not tried whiskey and food pairings, but your idea of combining the salty, smoky flavor of salmon with the brine, peat-smoke and honey notes of the Talisker sounds really, really good! Now I have to get me another bottle. The present one survived from the middle of August til exactly last night...

Yes, that focal bead is a kick. I love the ones by Joy Munshower www.joymunshower.com/ but she doesn't show them on-line, just her animal beads and the torsos; I have to to go to the Bay Area Bead Extravaganza to see and buy the abstract ones.
Anyway, you caught the colors and the rhythm of the bead wonderfully.
