(2016), 9"x4", Size 15 seed beads and size 11 seed beads worked in Ndebele stitch, closure beads, focal glass art beads, fireline.

I really love the unusual color combination in this focal bead with its banding of transparent purple, bordeaux red, sapphire, amber and slate blue highlighted with brighter colors and some ivory swirls - more colors than you could pack into a 7 color gradient, which is usually what I come up with for my ripple bracelets.

Eventually I chose to highlight the fringe colors with a combination of deep red, matte slate blue and rich green and then play up the amber and ivory notes with the smaller beads and the center beads for the "puffs". As so often with these focal beads it's a color combo I could have never dreamt up on my own, but it's a really versatile piece that goes with a lot of outfits.
