The Palace of Knossos is one of the most mysterious archaeological finds. It was built by a highly developed Minoan civilization, which suddenly disappeared. Exploring this culture inspired me to create this painting that reflects the spirit of their culture. Dolphins were especially revered by the inhabitants of Crete and were considered sacred animals.
