Description
A long lost pencil sketch (recently found) of a long lost monument depicting the winged sphinx of Naxos. At least I think it might be the sphinx of Naxos, originally located near the temple of Apollo in Delphi in 327 BC.
The sketch was only part finished so I improvised the rest then decided to add colour with watercolours and digital tinting. Perhaps this long lost sketch should of remained hidden!

She def has that enigma face about her & I love the clouds. It also looks like a cloud stag beetle flying in to give her a hug! Or land on her to eat her braids ..
