Well, looks like this is happening again. It's not copy/pasted like the last guy. It looks like the guy did it by his own hand, with maybe a bit of tracing, but either way, it's still copying.

This case should be fine with a comment underneath where the inspiration came from. Let´s say a bit like fan art of fan art. But I know where your point is coming from. If an artist admits from the start that he was inspired by an illustration people will praise the attempt. Without admitting it people will focus on similarities between the original pic and the artist art. Especially when someone knows the original he will point out similarities.

Thanks for being very cool over this. I'm a fairly new to Deviant Art, uploading work and just digital art in general. I think maybe next time I'll do my homework and search out an artist before I upload anything based on their work. All the best!

No tracing buddy, don't do tracing! Look it's an amazing piece (the original that is) and I have provided a full link and reference to it on my interpretation. I would never openly attempt to steal an idea and pass it off as my own, especially not a piece that comes up tops on a Google image search! I'm still pretty new to Deviant Art and its practices so I apologize to Eloel if I have broken a rule. I can always take it down. It's a nod to the original creator however, nothing more!

This is so cool, very realistic. Although there is one thing a bit off: Ori's feet are actually hooves not paws. It's hard to tell most of the time but the few close ups we get show they are. Just a small detail, the rest is still awesome.

My mistake, I had to get right up to my computer screen but I think I can see the line between the fur and hoof. But yeah, the grass could've been placed a little differently, maybe at an opposite angle. I still very easily see them as cat paws.
