Okay, the zoo series is OVER! The last shot for today is a sunset....
I love sunsets as some of you already know. 
This is the sun setting over Lake Erie, in Eastlake, Ohio (or maybe it was in Willowick, Ohio, can't remember for sure). And it was cloudy, just how I like my sunsets pictures to be, lol, with the sun peeking out.
Fortunately, it didn't rain that evening, so we got to sit around and enjoy the calmness. The thing on a stand in the lower right corner is a birdhouse.I did add a blue filter on this one because I didn't like the greenish tint my camera had picked up from the water (a result of the yellow reflections of the sun onto the lake, I suppose). I sharpened and rotated because the horizon was slightly slanted, too.

Yes, Willowick to be exact. A stone's throw from Eastlake--and such a great spot to go to.
Cathy, come to think of it--I like that birdhouse in the pic. It's your choice. But if most people get distracted...

Ah, yes, thanks. We used to live in Richmond Heights, but a friend lives in Eastlake and she's the one who showed us that spot. Couldn't remember the name of the city it was in, though. Thanks for letting me know.

As for the little bird house--I do see what people mean about it being distracting. But for me it holds sentimental meaning because it helps identify my lake park. But yes, better to crop it out for aa more balanced picture.

Ours had nearly set by the time we got there. But this is my lake park--my special getaway to rejuvenate.

No, we went back the next week I believe. Actually, we went back twice, but the second time was after our ride up and down the lake, on the way home. We had good timing, too, that day, cause we drove up to Coneaut on the highway and stopped at several places on the lake, before ending up at Headlands Beach. And then we drove down towards home and arrived near your park just at the right time to see the sunset again, so we stopped before going out to eat (late night, really, considering it was already after 9 pm, lol).

Thanks. That's what I was trying to capture... The reflection of the sunset on the water. And for once that I actually got a lake right under the sun as it was setting, we went back 3 times to try and catch a good sunset shot! Lol. Well, that and it was something nice and romantic to do in the evening, lol.

Great capture Cathy... you might give it a thought to crop the lamp out? it would be more in balance I believe also... but no negetive remark meant.. its a lovely shot!
