Very nice, you're quite good at making backgrounds. I like how cartoony, yet nicely-detailed it is. The coloring is quite good, and you did a good job making this look underwater. The sunlight beams are especially a nice touch.

Hm... although this isn't quite as good as the lava one, it's still quite lovely. Perhaps if you have time, work on some rising seaweed far off in the background to liven up the blank spots back there?

...And if this is kinda a game-ish thing, perhaps add something more mystical to it, like remove that rock on the right of the 'path' and have it look to open up to a cave, with slight light coming off from crystals or something. I only get this impression from the title 'Stage', so... heh heh.

But yeah, that front formation is totally boobs that I cannot unsee.

I'll play around with what you suggested, I did have a few ideas for wildlife but I figure I'd showcase that in a later image. And holy crap I need to fix those rocks fast.

I miss hand-painted backgrounds in video games. You'd do some badass level design for sure. Also that foremost rock formation looks a little like boobs and a torso. >.>
