Description Here is the back of my Civil war dress. I didn't get to wear it, but I will shortly. Im the mean time I think I may add a little to it. The dress also looks a floppy, but that's because I am taller than this dummy in every respect. Lol. So, it will look better on me. but I do like how it drapes on this dummy. Also, this was before the dress was hemmed.

Specs: 12 yards blue/grey rayon
6 yards debutante satin

underpinning specs on picture of the undergarments.

I used about 15 yards total ( not exactly sure what that converts to in meters). Most of that went into the skirt!
Thank you! Now I just need a chance to wear it! lol

Thanks! I would like to put a little more into it...but I'm not sure what else I would do. I don't want to make it feel too over the top, you know?
Under the dress is an Elliptical Hoop skirt, a hoop cover, and a Petticoat. The hoop skirt was altered slightly from a simplicity pattern that I believe is discontinued now. Though don't quote me on that. The petticoat was also based on a simplicity pattern.
There is another elliptical hoop skirt pattern that I whole heartedly endorse. The company is called Truly Victorian. You can buy their patterns from a website called Ageless PAtterns. Goolge that and the site will come up!
If you need a direct link to it, I can note you links to whatever you need. I will try to dig up what the numbers of the patterns I use were, as well.
I hope that helps!

Oh! an the hoop skirt was assembled with Steel boning which i get in rolls from corsetmaking.com.
