Hmmmmmmm I'm a bit lost with this one... part of me likes it and part of me feels that its just not what I hoped it would be. It basically started out as a character design based on an rpg character of mine and digital painting practice. Once more, I went overboard with details and made it seem to take forever to finish. I think there's over 50 hours in this and I'm just not quite convinced a drawing like this is worth 50 hours...Good thing is, I enjoyed painting it, although I had to spread this over a lot of weeks, doing a few hours every now and then. This didn't really speed up tings either. But it also kept me changing quite a bit during the process which might have been a good thing (I think I drew her three faces before I was happy with this one).
Anyways.. back to drawing quickies again
Oh and if anyone knows a better title for this, I'm open for suggestions.

This is amazing, especially the flying bugs. They realy make the piece in a cute / disturbing way. Plus the details are just fantastic.
The only thing I would have suggested would be a bit more contrast. Might have made it feel darker and more solid.

Awesome pictures and details. She reminds me more of a Sorceror or Witch. Nonetheless great image. I could not have done it lol. Her expression is perfect. I like the large undead dragonfly/cicada/magical bugs carrying her cape.

Impressive composition, and also great details with the graphisms. I dont like the position of the legs, it doesnt give the impression of an levitating person. But i admire that you use simbolistic signs of genesis. I see you did work alot for the curtain.

I think the pose could be more fluent/natural.
it now seems a bit 'stiff', i think its due to the feet that are positioned perfectly parralel

Hmm yeah I meant to be very subtle with the pose, and I tweaked it quite a bit during the process of it. I had to twist the foot a bit because at some point it was looking pretty un-natural.

Well, personally I think the 50 hours was well spent... she looks wonderful!
And I too like the little bugs behind her... the entire piece is well done, even if not what you had intended.

Hmmm yeah now you mention it, she does have a bit of that Gwen air to her. Gwen rocks though so I'll take that as a compliment
