Description EDIT: I updated with a scan of the drawing rather than a file. It's going to take me a while to figure my new scanner out, it's kind of washing everything out.

So I found some watercolor paper and wanted to play with them a bit and this is what spawned. I haven't really worked watercolors in over 7 years so I'm pretty rusty For Christmas I'm asking Santa for a watercolor and oil set.

Anyways, a relatively quick painting, about 4 hrs on and off with interruptions in between.

Reference by ~Canis-Lupess I hope that you don't mind I used your image as a reference, I asked a while back but I hope it's ok.

Watercolor, a little bit of acrylic and black colored pencil. I'll post WIPs tomorrow.

It's a photo hence the off color... I'll try to get a scan soon.

I had to play with the colors a bit to get it closer to the original, this new scanner is just washing everything out like crazy but it's definitely a lot sharper than my old lexmark.

This is amazingly beautiful, I love your style, and the detail you put in your work. Thats great for being rusty , at my point of view, I think if you have not worked with it even longer it would still be a great and amazing peace.

Well, I generally steer clear because I'm rather intimidated by then but I've been feeling incredibly brave, artistically. So more practice with watercolor and then it's on to oils... something I've never tried before.
