“I think the mountains are too generalised (they all look like more or less the same mound) and the artist could really benefit from using references!
The dragon could also be placed better and twisted to create more drama. Nice colors though!”

“This is a beautiful dream! It certainly has a dreamlike quality to it. I like the trees very much, the mixture of darker and lighter greens in the forest, that makes it more lively. The little mermaid is a beautiful little detail, very cute, and also guiding the viewer to the centre of the picture. The castle is definitely a castle every princess would like to have - just the cracks seem a bit strange. I mean, your castle shouldn't collapse the next moment, should it? The flowing forms of the dragon are gorgeous, and I love the sunset JWhen we are at light: The lighting should come from the back here, from the sunset, not from a general light source. It's harder to draw, but it will look better! Finally, the girl is well done, proportions look very well, and her looking back is somehow perfectly fitting the theme.”

"Well it's a dreamscape so it’s not easy to critique on certain levels. I like the composition, the belt of land sits comfortably between the sea and sky, and I like the colour/texture of the sky itself. I'm troubled mainly by the size of the mermaid in comparison to the main figure in the drawing, I just feel like the mermaid is too small. but other than that its a pleasant image with a positive vibe to it "

"What I love; overall textures, colours and concept. That mermaid is a lovely touch. However, the mountains and the snow on the mountains are a notch too regular, the larger mountains tend to have more snow. The castle is crooked, and general perspective is a notch off, even taking into account your figure. That's it, really. It's still gorgeous!"

"I like the piece for its colors and composition as well. I like the attempt at perspective with the mermaid at the bottom. The stylized floating cloud is very creative. The castle could use a little more shadow if it was meant to look more realistic. I like how the placement of the moon and the dragon leads the eye to the castle and the woman on the cloud. The reflection of the sunset on the ocean is also a nice touch. Also, the mountains and the forest could use a little atmospheric perspective, that is the colors get lighter and duller to show distance. Oh. and I like how the stars aren't the traditional shape of the star but more realistic."
