Bird silhouettes aren't easy.
A lot of study and observation must be put into them! Especially for the wings.
I suggest to look at 's bird studies-
they're beautiful drawings that I'm sure will help you understand the wing shapes. You can find them in this folder, with other animals as well---> oxboxer.deviantart.com/gallery…
As for the sketch, I suggest you working on your lineart. It's a sketch, but it's no excuse to not make it look as pleasant as full works.
A sketch looks nice when the lines are confident, avoid making them so "hairy"! Youd did fantastic here--> RIP Pluto , how about making all your sketches look as nice as that?
Try searching up some line confidence exercises, if done periodically you'll improve very soon.
The composition is very pretty. I love the runes on the wings, it's a really cool idea. I'm sure the final work will be precious.
