and by the way, the contrast should also symbolize the ambivalence such relationships sometimes can have... it might look pretty and perfect, but sometimes it's just a lie. I experienced in my family (no, not my parents, i am actually not the one who suffers from it), a divorce because of something like that... i think it's horrible.
By the way, the "der Stille" you can read on the ring means "of silence". The rest of the inscription is my secret

When I saw this I immediately clicked it so that I can see what is the Description..but when I saw the Title i said to myself "This makes so much sense for those who cheated on their wife/husband".
This Art/Photography also has a mood even though it's only a simple hand with a ring and blood. It makes us think many various things which is one of the most important thing about Art/Photography.

When I scrolled down to the DD's bar today, this amazing photograph completely caught my eye and I couldn't help myself but to click on it.
Vision -
I really think you had an amazing artistic vision when you did this. Not only that, but I love how you can see the little creases in the fingers and how the focus eventually causes one side of the hand to blur. It's a very basic image and there's not a lot to look at, but it makes the viewer think about the true meaning of this.
Originality -
I personally haven't seen anything that's exactly the same as this, but I've seen similar things. I really think it stands out well, but I feel like it lacks a tad of creativity with its originality.
Technique -
I'm not sure if you were looking for the blood to look fake or real, but I wish it could've been on the more realistic side. The focus is also good. The main problem that I had is that the subject is right in the center, and that the top left half is blank. Other than that your technique was nice.
Impact -
Yes, this is one of the most impacting pieces I've seen on dA in a while. The blood coming from the ring gives a sense of corruption, like this person has hurt you. It's simple, but viewers can relate to it.
I hope to see more conceptual photography from you in the future, and congrats on the DD!

This image is both disurbing but beautiful; a thrilling paradox. The lighting is perfect for the subject of the image, giving light and shadow to all the small details.
Originality is way, way up there for fact that it's something I haven't seen before, but you loose a point or so because the idea isn't completely uncommon. Technique is lost some because of the blood. I shouldn't look beaded like that, it makes it look fake. It's far too thin as well which is something that needs fixing if you wish to embark on a project like this again. This adds to the fact that it's too light. It's also too far spread across the hand. If it'd dropped down the hand properly, rather than rising up either side of the finger it would have been near perfect.
Other than that it's amazing, a near perfect piee of macabre photography.

"You broke your promise" holds me...transfixed upon the ring, it's inscription, and the blood that frows freely ffrom in-between...the source of the wound also a mystery...I think the hidden part of the inscription might just read "Scream"
