I pound down the stepsInto the depths
That house the eyes in my mind.
I've found a greater truth here
That resides in the moving lips
And voiceless tongues
that reminisce of western days
Drawn in the smoke
They are dreaming
unrecognizable shapes
I have no words for this
and neither do they
And stepping into sleep
I am drawn, too
but not in this chromosphere,
no,
I am too dull for that
I am grey
The only one in a see of impressions
Despairing of colors
I am drowned out
I am breathing teal skies
Revitalizing with a new drug
To prepare me for
A much more permanent predicament.
