Recent alteration to my OC valentine. She started out as blond and pale with curlyShort hair. Then long hair. Then short hair. Then boys style hair/ pixie cut. Then dark chocolate hair pale skin. Now short blackish hair and olive toned skin.
I'm so fickle with it all, but I'm pretty happy with this final look, especially cos her parents come from Southern Europe so it makes sense that she's olive skinned.
oh, i almost forgot to mention--she's a harry potter oc from a fanfic. slytherin, who gets paired with george. she's half vampire and her parents are death eaters. It can be....kind of complicated to explain.

Hey me again, I wanted to say I like her much better with the blonde hair and golden eyes because it shows her off more as a little scared child clinging to Snapes robes. And i just think it looks much better the other way, i like this drawing alot, but not for the character. Its a great look but id never use it for this character, when a reader or veiwer typically thinks sweet/kind/innocent one might get the idea of long hair. But with cropped short hair one might tend to think of the character as mischievous/sarcastic/highly playfull. If that was the look your going for your character than you've achieved it. Please dont take this as rude but as constructive friendly criticism.

the friendly criticism is fine, and i agree with you that long hair usually does indicate innocence...and, she will have long hair at some point. it will change, because, well, hair grows, right? But after....hm goblet of fire she cuts it again. And its short to begin with cos the horrible guy she's lived with abused her and cut her hair forcefully every year. So....its starts out short, then grows, thens cut again. The shortness when she's little is to represent that she's not whats expected, so she's not supposed to fit in. She's supposed to be timid, and shy, kind, but not really innocent. If anything she's more tuned to the horriblness of the world. As she gets older she becomes more confident, and playful and all that. Ive recently done a little tweaking to her, and she will be playful and sometimes sarcastic. Well, she has to be that stuff to get along with the twins (especially fred). yeah so....I spend a long time thinking about it and i changed it a lot back and forth, but it does make sense to be for her to be like this because one of her parents comes from Southern Europe (havnt decided where yet(but she was raised in italy))
Yes, so ive done some character revisitation and this is what came out. Sorry for the confusion and thank you so much for your advise, but i think for my new view of her this will do.
