haha, our squirrels do the same thing...I've even seen them get
into scraps over the feeder before. @_@;

Yeah, I've seen that there before too. XD They sure are greedy...

lol yea, and right now they're twice as greedy
because they're about to have babies. I've
found myself feeding them three times a day; poor
birds don't stand a chance.

Oh dear... then you'll have few times more many squirrels too. In our garden we have a squirrel proof bird feeder stand thing (this one was in the woods); that works pretty well. You should have a look at them. ^^

Thanks! I'll look into them.

This is fantastic xD Squirrels are smarter than people give them credit for!

They really are! I've seen this one quite a few times actually - she's always getting into the bird feeders, however much they try and stop her.

Thanks for all the faves, by the way.

That's awesome! Most people calls them pests but I love them! They are so intellegent

Your work is amazing, I should be thanking you xD

I know - I used to know someone who would go out and shoot them. x.x I actually think they're very sweet - despite people calling them 'ratlike'. Though, I like rats too. xD

xD

Apparently people eat them as well, which I find horrible! They are fascinating animals

Emasone In reply to iamthegreenfairy [2011-04-27 20:50:35 +0000 UTC]

At least if they're being eaten they're being killed for a reason though. I mean, I like chickens and lambs, but I still eat them...

I didn't even think about it that way, but you're right, at least it's for a purpose. I prefer to watch them run about the lawn xD

We get them in their dozens at school, along with an escaped flock of parakeets, herons, jays, foxes... And here, in the countryside I never see anything. XD The cats scare everything off...

iamthegreenfairy In reply to Emasone [2011-04-28 23:53:24 +0000 UTC]

That's awesome! Sounds like something out of a book, escaped foxes and such xD We have two squirrels that regularly come to my house. I always see them chasing each other on the fence and chasing the dog! It's quite the sight to see squirrels chasing after such a big dog xD

Emasone In reply to iamthegreenfairy [2011-04-29 00:03:26 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it does. xD Only seen the foxes twice though.

Chasing the dog? xD That would be a sight to see. ^^ I generally go to a local(ish) wildlife hide to watch them, and the birds - there's generally quite a lot there.

iamthegreenfairy In reply to Emasone [2011-04-29 00:14:07 +0000 UTC]

There are a lot of foxes here, though I've only seen them a few times. They like to eat cats... and my friend's pet rabbit

It's hilarious, I promise you xD For some reason I don't see all that many animals here, but again, it's probably because I'm not looking for them. Although we get a lot of Doves and Robins around our bird feeder. One time while hiking in the mountains near my house I saw a fresh wolf print, though I never saw the actual animal

Emasone In reply to iamthegreenfairy [2011-04-29 00:25:25 +0000 UTC]

Well, you're lucky for seeing them a few times then! I've only ever seen them at school. But not so lucky for your friend...

I believe you. ^^ Oh, I would love to have seen a wolf print - they're such beautiful animals... Though I probably would have spent the rest of the month looking for it.

I'm not sure if this sent before because the internet at the school is acting up, so ignore it if it did

She found it on her birthday too, not the best present

I am obsessed with wolves, I love them! I kept looking but couldn't find it unfortunately There is a wolf sanctuary a few hours from my house and it is amazing! They even let you go in with them, and they aren't tame or anything. It's terrifyingly amazing when and wild wolf is licking you in the face!

Emasone In reply to iamthegreenfairy [2011-04-29 02:00:13 +0000 UTC]

No it didn't. ^^

That's sad. A few years ago, my cat died on its first birthday. That wasn't good. Having said that, I just realised it's my other cat's birthday.

They're such lovely animals. That sounds great! Even in captivity here, the wolves are separated from you with about four layers of fence. I think I'll have to go and live there... xD

Aww! Happy Birthday Kitty!

It definitely worth seeing! I mean, it's not a fancy place by any means, but the people there have such a passion for the animals and it's absolutely amazing We should just swap houses for awhile

Well at least someone gets a happy birthday on the right day! xD

It sounds brilliant! Please tell me where it is if I ever go to the States. ^^
Yeah, I mean, I'm sure no-one would notice. xD

iamthegreenfairy In reply to Emasone [2011-04-29 02:19:04 +0000 UTC]

We were bound to get a birthday right eventually xD

It's in a tiny (and by tiny, I mean, I think the sanctuary IS the town) of Gardner, Colorado. Here's a link for their website [link] if you want to procrastinate on your homework some more

Yeah. We're determined that the new bank holiday tomorrow for the Royal Wedding is actually for our cat. xD

Oh, it looks excellent! I think I'm going to make it my life aim to go there.

And thanks for the extra procrastination! xD *Goes to search through website multiple times.*
