This is a flier I designed to advertise a married couple's study at a church. They are using a book written by Dr. Eggerichs. I have never read it but from what they say on their website it sounds like their teaching is exactly what every marriage needs. The cover of the book says "The love she most desires..the respect he desperately needs" It's as simple and as complicated as that.

This is an excerpt from their website [link] What is Love and Respect? We believe love best motivates a woman and respect most powerfully motivates a man. Research reveals that during marital conflict a husband most often reacts when feeling disrespected and a wife reacts when feeling unloved. We asked 7,000 people this question: when you are in a conflict with your spouse or significant other, do you feel unloved or disrespected? 83% of the men said "disrespected." 72% of the women said, "unloved." Though we all need love and respect equally, the felt need differs during conflict, and this difference is as different as pink is from blue! God designed the institution of marriage, and I believe these principles were also His design for marriage. In an age where the majority of marriages are failing I think couples would do well to put these simple principles into practice. I honestly believe that any marriage with Jesus at the center that diligently practices love and respect will thrive.
