This is one I just pulled from the blog. I stuck it there a loooong time ago, not feeling like making it nice to look at. My scanner has a way of washing everything way the hell out while *also* picking up every little smudge. Had to pry it apart to fix it a couple times too which doesn't help, I'm sure. All things considered though its a very portable, very reliable little guy that I bought for under a hundred bucks, many moons ago.

From the title you can gather that I think his jaw looks broken. His nose is flattened in a weird way...

To give you an idea of my emotions at the time, on this very same page there are 5 doodles of my dad in various phases of agony with his heart exploding. I'm... not gonna upload those. That isn't a plea for sympathy by-the-way, more-over it's a glimpse into why its been a little hard to pour myself into my drawings again. I've been afraid of drawing things, afraid of -showing- things, afraid of not being able to live up to my own weird standards, etc, etc. I'm still tender. And without a job, there's a very limited source of things to think about.

Other than marrying Troy, the last couple years have been full of nothing but bullshit. I mean, right before I moved in with Troy HIS step-dad went missing. It's been a year and still, nothing.

But what's weird is that I'm writing this optimistically! There are still things that could go wrong with my immigration stuff, but if I don't -try- to not suffer I'm just going to keep suffering. Needlessly, even. I used to be really good at getting back up after being knocked down. Gotta get good at that again.
