1/6 Scale Luna Human Form
Description:
Very old reason model I had for a few years. She was packed away in a box since I was currently fixing up my office for some shelving units to be installed by hand by me xD
I managed to repaint her the best I could with some awesome acrylics. OF course the paint did not layer as best on the second paint job but I still love her as is
With her on her plaque she stands around 11 inches tall =o
I also managed to finally make her a base to put her on xD
My most fav pasts are her second layer to her dress and her hair <3 In person her hair is so vibrant! In the pictures it does not which is depressing but it is so beautiful! And the shading looks a lot well blended in person as well xD I also like when I added nail polish glitter since it it gives it an even sheen to it, almost looks like her dress and the plaque looks like stars which was what I was aiming for
I normally work with enamels but with this model I refused since alot of my models even after they were sealed gather alot of dust and stick to the models and it is gets difficult to clean them. With these nice acrylics they give a nice sheen and is easy to apply without having to put a base coat before painting
If anyone is curious how I made the base feel free to ask xD

Awww it was sold long ago You can buy unpainted recasts of it though and paint yourself, only problem was assembly was a pain since the skirt is in 4 pieces i think @_@;

Did you make this whole figure by yourself?

EmeraldAngelStudio In reply to LicoriceBites [2015-02-13 15:10:12 +0000 UTC]

I cleaned, primed, painted it and created the base myself yes. As far as sculpting the figure no.

Right now this figure I am selling but is on hold.
you can buy the kit on E2046.com but requires modeling skills to build this kit.
She costs around $60ish with no VIP discount. If you wish for me to order it for
you *have this happen alot* at a lower discount and easy to order experience,
I can do this and have to sent to you. Their shipping takes forever though , around 3 weeks.

Hey thanks for the link. I might be this in the future but not for a while though. But until then, you do commissions? For things like these? Cause I don't like the original colors. Her hair is black not purple.

EmeraldAngelStudio In reply to LicoriceBites [2015-02-13 16:44:42 +0000 UTC]

Yes I do commissions actually depending on your location
Oh well actually in the original artwork it shows a purple hint but people
exaggerate it with fill on purple. This particular kit was done many years
ago and probably over-exaggerated the pruple a bit lol
but yes colors can be customized by customer request.

Basically I go off of what is in stock. You find something you like or looking
for a particular character in as series, I will find a kit and share the link to see
if that is what you are after. Even some things people have never seen befroe
as large figures such as chobits for example is another popular choice.

But yes list a few characters as well as the series they are from, I can do my
research, give price of the kit and its shipping then the paint job price and shipment
and the painted kit is in your hands as an example of who things go.

I am currently working on an etna and Saber kit commission currently

I absolute love your model it so beautiful. In fact I love it so much I wanted to show it to the person making my Halloween costume so that she has the exact angles she needs. Would you allow me to do so (unfortunately the way she needs to send it to me wouldn't allow for link credit. However, I promise if I post photos of myself in it on my Facebook page I will credit you that way. (trust me I do credit just ask: Xamag or look here: www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbi…

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!  Miss ImHisEternalAngel,

[q(^-^q)(p^-^)p q(^-^q)(p^-^)p q(^-^q)(p^-^)p] [d(^-^)d q(^-^)p q(^-^)p]

Unfortunately, there is no more time for me to get it custom made (or even order it come to think of it) bc there is currently a government shut down in my country so the funds I was going to use to get it are currently unattainable before the deadline. However, I still plain on making it though when every they do become available (I could just use the costume for next years anime convention). So I still appreciate all your help and I will check out your suggestion.

Your welcome Miss Angel,

LOL and YEEEHesss, lol. Yay! for cheep out of state posting, lol. (I'm from the US too) I worded the last message the way I worded it because I didn't know what country you where from bc you never know on these sites (the first girl who I ever corresponded from her was from Russia and she like I said in my original message she's author of my FB pic).

I originally did a google search using all the search terms I could think of from like Luna Human + sailor moon book 11 to anything remotely like that but the problem is most of the shots have the back of her dress in deep purple which is not the original color if you look at the back of the book. I wanted your picture specifically because it was in the original colors from the book and I didn't want the seamstresses to be confused about what I wanted.

(also like an idiot  I just realized I accidental deleted your message with all the good links in it (I thought the "Remove this message after I reply" box meant that they were going to mark the message as read not physical dealt the message      so if it's not to much trouble could you please send them again if it's not too much trouble. I know that as a professional artist you probably have other things to do so if not that's fine).

That a side I wanted to let you know that you chibis are absolutely adorable.

Hohoho no it is totally fine ^_^

Hmm for some reason the oracle is not online right now...wonder if they are doing site maintenance ;3; I hope that is the case, I hate for the ite to be shutdown completely...
Anyway, I did update this deviation as one whole image instead of the past where it was multiple images as one deviation, haha! xD

Here is an old online gallery with the different angles for now *for now until I can have my figure delivered to my new residents* www.e2046.com/gallery/view/127…
[There is a button on the bottom of the gallery photos where you can view them larger]

Ill check back to see if the oracle is back online within a day or so and send you a note ^_^

From my old message these were the two links, both anime and manga versions:

Ooh please do share about the base! I LOVE it! Also, what did you do with the skirt? It looks still semi transparent.

EmeraldAngelStudio In reply to MoonFigures [2013-03-18 18:52:57 +0000 UTC]

BE WARNED LONG COMMENT LOL XD

Well when I bought the kit the 2nd layer of the skirt was all resin, no translucent resin which was a bit disappointing The company I bought this from sells her with a transparent dress but only if it is prepainted order which are expensive! It does look a bit transparent which is cool! But its just meerly how the dress is shaded and how the light is hitting the skirt lol

For the dress I added some Wet n Wild Wild Shine Glitter Nail Polish i purchased I think from Walmart for a buck. It gives it a nice shine and has the right amount of glitter to cover most of the models dress But the odor of course is horrendous.

For the base I purchased a wood plaque at Hobby Lobby for I think 70ish cents. I painted it using some high quality acrylics, almost acts as oil paints but they to tend to dry quicker which does not bother me Also it is similar to working with lacquer [don't need to apply a base coat to make the 2nd cost stick to the model or any surface]. Next thing I used was thin ribbon and painted it with yellow acrylics since I do not have yellow ribbon. Also used for the yellow trim a black necklace cord and painted yellow as well. The picture on the base of the plaque is meerly a piece of lamination paper I used with my lamination machine. After I laminated a blank sheet I cut a round piece from it to fit the top of the base. I outlined the globe of its continents then I flipped that lamination sheet over and painted that side, almost like animation cels This is so that way the paint does not scrape from the sheets. Then I simply glue it to the wood base

You did a great job, even for putting paint on top of paint. I find that most people can't seem to do the eyes right and I'm scared to draw painting on this size currently.

EmeraldAngelStudio In reply to kuroitenshi13 [2013-03-18 15:07:00 +0000 UTC]

Thanks ! Yes the eyes were a pain! Even after scraping most of the old paint off it was still chunky but I think it was ok
I am not used to the 90s version of these models faces compared to the newer models that are coming out look a bit better so it was a challenge lol
